On 10 and 11 August 2026, Prof. Carlos R. S. Milani was one of three guest coordinators at the 21st edition of the Multidisciplinary Continuing Education Programme for PhD Holders in Social Sciences at the National University of Córdoba (Argentina). Over the week, the programme hosted a series of seminars and lectures on the theme (Neo)colonial Grammars of Power: Bodies, Borders and Global Securitisation, organised by the Director of the OIMC along with Professors Juan Manuel López Muñoz (University of Cádiz, Spain) and Zulma Palermo (University of Salta, Argentina). Specifically, over the two days of presentations, Prof. Milani was responsible for presenting the topics ‘The Anthropocene’, ‘Climate Emergency’ and ‘Grammars of Power’.

Based at the Centre for Advanced Studies of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Córdoba (CEA/FCS), the Multidisciplinary Programme for Continuing Professional Development for PhD Holders in Social Sciences aims to build a centre of excellence through a series of seminars and symposia coordinated by renowned scholars, enabling participants to gain an insight into the research carried out by these experts whilst also sharing their own work.
