On 27 April, the Observatory and the Climate Social Sciences Network organised the event ‘From obstruction to action: strategies for a just energy transition’, a side event to the official programme of the First Conference on the Transition Away from Fossil Fuels.

Between 23 and 25 March, IRI/PUC-Rio hosted the international conference ‘Euro-Latin American and Caribbean Cooperation on Climate and Biodiversity Governance and the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals’, featuring a panel discussion led by the Observatory’s team.

In March 2026, the Observatory organised the seminar Climate Geopolitics, AI and China-Latin America Relations’ as part of the programme for the IESP-UERJ 2026.1 Lecture Series.

Next Monday, 27 April, as part of the First Conference on the Transition Away from Fossil Fuels, the Observatory and the Climate Social Sciences Network are hosting a discussion entitled ‘From obstruction to action: strategies for a just energy transition’ at the Universidad del Magdalena.
