On Friday, 28 November 2025, the Interdisciplinary Observatory on Climate Change and the Institute of International Relations and Defence of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (IRID-UFRJ) will hold a seminar entitled COP30 in the Amazon: Multiple views and new perspectives for thinking towards the future. In two discussion panels, held in person at Casa da Ciência from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., the event aims to bring together experts linked to UFRJ and the OIMC team to discuss the legacy of the 30th Conference of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30) and the possibilities for the future of research on topics related to the climate emergency.
