On 12 and 13 August 2024, OIMC researchers Diogo Ives, Emanuel Semedo and Arthur Facini attended the first annual meeting of partners of the Institute for Climate & Society (iCS), held in Rio de Janeiro. The event gathered more than 400 representatives from the Institute’s approximately 200 supporting institutions, with the aim of strengthening the networks in the climate field, outlining the iCS strategies for the years ahead and pointing out the challenges and opportunities for the field in the current landscape.
One of our main funding partners since the launch of the Observatory, the Institute for Climate & Society is a philanthropic organisation dedicated to supporting projects and institutions aimed at strengthening the Brazilian economy and the country’s geopolitical position, as well as reducing inequality by tackling climate change and sustainable solutions.
