In December 2023, our researcher Carolina de Figueiredo Garrido took part in the webinar Climate Litigation in 2023, the closing event of the year for the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law. The seminar brought together researchers from different parts of the world from the Sabin Center’s Peer Review Network on Global Climate Change Litigation, a group in which Carolina represents Brazil, to present the main rulings related to Climate Litigation in 2023 in their respective regions, as well as comment on the main global trends in the field for the near future.

With a Master’s degree in Law and a specialisation in Brazilian Environmental Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Carolina Garrido is a researcher at the Law, Environment and Justice in the Anthropocene Research Group (JUMA/NIMA/PUC-Rio), as well as an OIMC collaborator.
